Yes they're back already, I went biking at Learnie this afternoon and got bitten while I was having a sandwich..... I don't think I've ever been tormented by them this early in the year.

Are all the runs open now after the autumn storm?

They're doing a bit of logging so the main carpark isn't actually supposed to be open, but loads of people were there anyway, including me. Everything's open except the little green that potters back to the car park. They've rebuilt some of the jumps on the fun park red, some of them have more of a kick than they used to, so be careful!

Despite the midges it was great to be out, I think Learnie is just fantastic (way better than Laggan wolftrax)

I didnt like a lot of the techy stuff at learnie on black, but loved rest.
I need to go back with the leg/arm armour and try black again, now that I have finally ridden all the bits of the Laggan black - with a few spillages on the way,
the leg/arm protection really does help when taking a fall and so gives me more confidence to try things

Golspie probably my favourite north scotland man-made trails at the moment, shame its so far away for me though

Glad to hear that both blues are back in operation.

Yeah I love Learnie as well. The setting is so beautiful and there's no boring forest road to climb up like there is at Laggan. Although to be fair I do like the red trail at Laggan once you get to it!

Telemarker, I agree - I'd take Golspie anyway, it's just amazing! But even from inverness it's a fair old drive. As for the Learnie black, I've been round it a couple of times, and am a very long way from being able to ride it; and I'm going nowhere near the double black with its bonkers drop-offs.
