Pressing ALT + 248 on the keyboard, if using microsoft PC products, gets it too.

If you want to make inputting special characters easy peasy™, you need to setup your keyboard for a Compose Key. The Alt code method by comparison sucks badly.

[en.wikipedia.org]

Built into Linux, if you are on Windows then the excellent free and open source WinCompose

[github.com]

If you are a Mac person I am not sure. Personally I map Scroll Lock to the compose key because it's never used otherwise. Then the degree symbol is "compose o o" Accented characters are super intuitive compose a ' give á, compose a " gives ä, "compose a `" gives à, "compose a ^ gives â". You can now guess most common accented characters, demonstrating how intuitive the mechanism is smiling smiley

I know the conversations drift a bit on here...like a snow flurry on the plateau

but this is a bit off-piste

bringing it back to the fence lines would be good

Looking good on the mid and upper slopes at glencoe. Lower slopes still look to be struggling a touch.

If only there was some sort of lift that didn't require snow to operate that could take you from, for example the top of the access to, say the bottom of the spring run.

Good to see Glencoe getting a good pasting, They can use snow factory to top up the lower slopes.

Monday looking not to bad for a West Coast slide with the snow showers piling in today with considerable drifting, with the wind set to ease for the morning.

However mid-week looks like one of the recurring themes of the 'season' - displaced Azores high sitting over or close to SE England pumping mild and humid air in from the West over the top. This giving mild clagged in drizzly conditions near the West Coast.

Another recurring theme though has been a lot of uncertainty even at fairly short notice, the ensemble spread by 5 days out this morning for Fort William being a case in point. It also drives home the point that synoptically it can be a surprisingly fine line between jackpot and disaster!

Could this be the season that never started and no one knows when it will finish?

It's a weird season, fits and starts. At least Glencoe and Nevis have managed a bit, and Lecht made use of the Snowfactory. Shame Cairn Gorm has put itself out of action and Glenshee has tended to miss out on most of the snowfall. Raise has managed a few days, but I know nothing of the other English clubs.
