"REAL FIGURES, REAL PEOPLE"
Just to update anyone interested in the ongoing antics - commercial and otherwise - of the Ski Club of Great Britain ... and apologies to anyone who isn't ...
The Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) was contacted on 3 June concerning a circulation claim made by the Club ... in its recently published 2014 Media Pack, for its magazine Ski+Board ...
It was obvious from the ABC certificate issued earlier this year (February?) that that figure of 22,960 was incorrect. Here's the certificate ... [

ABC responded officially: "In relation to the 2013 figures for the print magazine displayed, these do not appear to be consistent with our certificate issued for this period ..."
The Club duly corrected the figure to 19,880 ...
... with another important change to the wording, making it clear that not all the magazines go to paying members (over 4000 of each edition were given away free during 2013).
Does any of this matter? Many might say it's a trivial matter - a bit like selling (advertising, in this case) a box of a dozen eggs, with only 11 inside?
