£75 total entry fee. (8 euros + £70)
decent deal if you need a lift pass for 2 days.
however for locals with a season pass its a very expensive run down the flypaper.

emailled 'no fuss events' about this twice in early Jan.
still awaiting a reply.

Never heard of 'no fuss events' before now, I don't think they have anything to do with it? It's not mentioned on their website. The coe cup fb page is here: [www.facebook.com] the website from last year (coecup.com) is down. It was put on by Andrew at Whitedot skis last year, I believe it's the same this year. He has a login on w/h - "dot."

At least it's not a FIS comp which as a Brit will cost you 100's of pounds to get registered for before even paying entry fees!

Odd, no mention of Coe Cup on the No Fuss website, no mention of No Fuss on the Coe cup fb or Glencoe website (except in relation to macavalanche), according to Google anyway.

Doug I think your best bet would be to contact Andrew at whitedot, or else via the fb page. From the whitedot website: andrew@whitedotskis.com

I would imagine whatever the lift ticket component of the fee is would be refundable, maybe Igloo4u would be able to comment?

Or just sell the (unused of course!) passes in the car park.

Doug & Tim,

No fuss events have withdrawn as event organisers and the event is now being run by Glencoe Mountain resort. Any questions or queries please refer them to Andy Meldrum at marketing@glencoemountain.co.uk or phone 07977 553901.
We are currently trying to work out a solution for local riders who have a season pass but please note that your entry fee has to cover fees to the FWT, travel, lodging and expenses for 4 judges, 8 marshals, 6 first aid personel, 2 organisers, marketing and promotion costs and rider liability insurance plus lots more. The reason No Fuss pulled out was that there was no money in the kitty for them to generate any profit from the event as we are limited to just 80 or 90 competitors. We are looking at being able to provide a cash back voucher for use in the cafe for season ticket holders.

The £70 entry fee only has to be paid once you are selected to compete and the 8 Euro FWT license fee will be refunded if you are not selected.

My advice is get your license now and register later in the week when entries open. In a couple of weeks you will find out if you have been selected at that stage you will need to pay your £70 to the WFT.

We currently have prizes by Salomon, Marmot, Balticbitch, Pretavoir, Glencoe MOuntain resort, Open Road Scotland and Ellis bRigham plus free beer from Diageo, so lots more than a run down the flypaper!!!

Thanks igloo4you, I wanted to say something about it being more than just a run down the fly..... a lot more as you say. Hopefully a deal can be struck which any season tickets holders are happy with, i'm not so it doesn't affect me. Going by the craic last year the weekend fee is well worth it.

Good deal for those travelling to Glencoe for the weekend thumbs up. Nice to see events like this being organised in Scotland - hopefully the snow gods are kind and it raises some good publicity.

ENTRIES ARE NOW LIVE AT LAST. Remember it doesn't cost to register at this stage, payment is only needed once your place is confirmed. We expect the event to fill up very quickly and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis after the competitors with FWT points have secured there space...... [www.freerideworldtour.com] any problems with registration contact Andy on 07977 553901 or andy@andymeldrum.com

They haven't committed yet but we have Ellis Brigham, Salomon, Balticbitch, Pretavoir, Marmot, Diageo, Glencoe Mountain, Open Road Scotland and The Scotsman already sponsoring the event.
