Glenshee Snow 2018
Date Posted: 21.21hrs on Sat 2 Dec 17
With the new season underway it's time for a new thread. Hopefully Glenshee can survive the thaw.

Hopefully Glenshee can get going again. Sadly it's looking quite scoured.

Shee just posted a picture that they are getting the guns out. Any reason why they started so late, other resorts have been blasting away for ages this season.

They appear to have a lot of guns sitting next to the baddoch chair on the webcam (or arren't they snowguns?). Why don't they use them..

I'm contemplating a dash north as soon as it looks like Glas Maol is going to open, I've repeatedly missed it on my last few trips. It would also be good to finally get a go on the new Cairnwell chair, I just missed it when it opened.

Was at Glenshee with a group of friends and our kids. Weather amazing and snow quality was good where deep enough.

I would normally tour on day like this, but had kids so not possible.

The Queues were stupid, Carn Aosda T Bar attempted to run but broke down. The Cairnwell chair didn't run, who knows why. I think we could get three short runs an hour with the limited uplift available. We left before 2pm as had enough of queueing for everything, including cafes...

Either restrict ticket sales, or open more lifts Glenshee.

Was there a skiable route of the Cairnwell Chair? Glenshee and CairnGorm have had the least snow of the five and some of the open days on CairnGorm had to be aborted during the day because the limited cover was trashed beyond use!

It's always busy the first good weekend of the season, esp when theres only a few lifts....thats why I went to Nevis on sat instead of glenshee. The only route off the chair was down the bunny run when I was there last week

There was earlier on last week on the tiger but the snow has sunk a bit as there is no base and the ground isn't frozen

was up there on sunday and bunny run looked good and groomed all the way to the chair, tiger not so much but still probably do-able combat style. maybe some mechanical issue with the chair? Its not often Glenshee don't run a lift without a good reason, especially given sunday was always looking like a busy one

With a decent forecast and all cairnwell lifts as well as sunnyside and maybe more more it's certainly going to be busy this weekend

Very good today. Run of the day was the tiger and it was great to see Cairn Aosda running again.

Pister was seen working on Caenlochan and home road so with a bit of luck might open soon.

Don’t let the thin cover fool you, tonnes of fun to be had up there!
