My summer bike got its first run of the year today so i'm happy...

Nairn to Elgin via Kinloss and back via Dallas - 55 miles and it felt good.

Plenty of time no, its still months away? eye popping smiley

Meantime what better training than skiing with lots of cake loading carbs? I need to work out the various cake stops nearer the time though to hit my highly motivated sweet spot; bit of a cake-a-thon with a spin on the bike thrown ingrinning smiley

I read somewhere pretzels make you go slow so think I'll steer well clear of them.

We're going to be on the tellybox. You lot better get training so you don't look too gubbed going up The Lecht.

It might avoid the wind, looks like it might be a pretty slack airflow in the middle of a big low pressure but particularly with the very early start time it looks like much of the Southern side of Loch Ness portion of the route will be above the freezing level- indeed some data suggests it might be sub-zero in Inverness at the start! Somewhere could get quite a bit of snow at the weekend as well.
