Sunday 5 Jan
Day 4 of the Season at Raise
Tow ran from 10:00
2 inch fresh on a firm base. Super skiing on Presidents, Savages Gully and Hut Face. 5 members enjoyed a great day out until the weather went ballistic at 14:00 and the tow was shut down.
Good forecast for Sunday. Overnight snow Sunday a.m. Followed by light winds and clearing out. I am going up to the Tow to lay down some tracks for the "Boss"
Raise did not operate over weekend, but did on Monday. Next projected day is Wednesday. Looks like snow is building well over the week. With a better forecast than Scotland this coming weekend Raise could be the place to go? Check new Snowline number on Lake District Ski Club website.
Tow ran Friday 07 Feb. 10:00 - 15:30 hrs. Claggy & raining at first. Clearing out and crisping up in the afternoon. 20 members enjoyed skiing almost everywhere without restriction on crust firm but breakable low down.
No plans to Run Tow Saturday. May run Sunday weather permitting.
Tow may run Tuesday 11Feb. More digging to do. So bring those digging muscles. Looking like next weekend 15/16 Feb will be epic. Possibility of running the rope tow as well. Bring it on!
