I'm actually starting to agree with you. This season is pissing me off. 4 days is poor reward for such good snow conditions.

Same last year, decent weather Tuesday or Wednesday - stormed off at the weekends.

Just had a call from Aviemore Snowboard hire place where I'd booked a snowboard for youngest son for the weekend. I've certainly not had a call like it before, and I've been coming up to Aviemore for longer than I care to remember.
Basically they said the weather this weekend is going to be awful so they're not going to open and I should look elsewhere for snowboard hire!
So with a 405 mile drive tomorrow should we bother? Serious question. Is the weeknd going to be that bad?

Think it'll be a major struggle to have anywhere open looking at the initial forecast but that could change

What you should do? Head for Glenshee. Best forecast for Saturday (more sun, higher cloud) and significant shelter from Westerly winds available. See you there.

Yep, I've written off this weekend, why oh why did I get a job in England. Even more annoying, been in Cornwall first half of the week so couldn't even make a quick grab for the bluebird.

If I'd been living where I was last year I'd still expect to be sliding somewhere this weekend. With another 200+miles on every journey I'm a bit more selective with gambling on conditions.

glenshee and lecht will have sheltered runs open....detail of this isnt known until the day and things change at short notice

a 40min drive makes glenshee and easy gamble

Be Nice to Skiers, they have it hard enough already

Not a brilliant forecast at Raise tomorrow but i'm hopeful they may run. Decision will probably made tonight.
