Just filled in the survey. They could do a great job building cabins and bunkhouses in the woodland close to the Gondola station, there's probably more potential for on-site accomondation at Nevis than any other centre. Lets hope the others follow suite.

Would be an excellent addition, and would get me up to Nevis more often if was well priced. Some cooking facilities would be useful too.

Filled in my responce. Always thought it odd that there was no-one offering the full catered chalet option in this country. I know it would be expensive building proper log cabin style chalets but I cant see why there wouldnt be a demand for a catered option in the Highlands. OK you cannot gaurantee the weather or snow like the alps but is that a requirement for a catered place? Many people pay for self catering in the Highlands, sure some would like the option of catered!

camper hook ups would be a good start and some small cabins... a bunkhouse would attract climbers/walkers too.

TBH it seems a bit of a no-brainer: an area popular with skiers, boarders, climbers, walkers, cyclists, paddlers, tourists of every description - and then add in pretty decent (especially if thoughtfully developed) surroundings.
But of course, ski in ski out is what's really needed - how about something up the hill?

I'm not even that bothered about a catered option (can have self-catered, or use pinemartin).

Great idea, but a no-go I imagine from a planning perspective up the hill. The forestry areas near the bottom station, on the other hand, might be easier to develop.
No doubt the survey results might indicate preferences regarding catered/self-catered options but there's certainly a market here for this type of thing. And that's without stepping on other accommodation providers' toes, though I can see some folks getting a bit twitchy. We need a breadth of accommodation options here in the Fort.

brilliant idea would be great for weekends away. could also be a handy base for day trips further north or west that are to far to get to most of the time.

i'd like to see a 16-person log bunkhouse with split wet facilities, decent kitchen, large common area and 8 person sauna. £400/night, not including host. and maybe two smaller 8 or 10 person ones of similar spec.
