I don't know the ins and outs of access to DVLA, but it seems there are a lot of businesses (insurers, tyre fitters etc) that can look up a lot of info based on your reg. Why not the polis?

Lot of talk in our papers about some of the cameras not being active. I was wondering on Tuesday if the driver of the small lorry I was behind between Slochd and Aviemore that was travelling between 55mph and 60mph knew something I didn't!

Survey teams working on the Kincraig / Alvie stretch of the A9 today, lots of wee blue flags on the verges - looks like some prelmimarny stuff for the Alvie dualling for which the main work is due to start in the summer.
Several drilling rigs on the A9 around Dunkeld doing ground survey work for that stretch as well at present.
