Helicopter flying in concrete for the new tow on Old Mugs Alley today caught on the webcam below the Flypaper:

Still sizable areas of snow on the Flypaper, mid Spring Run, Main Basin and the Canyon and the Wall. Thursday looks fine and dry, fairly cool too if you fancy a hike and ride to bag some July turns!

Just a shame about the weekend forecast Alan sad smiley

We've been fancying a run up for weeks - but the BBC weather map for the west has seemingly been swathed in blue every time we are available (ie off work)...

T-bar or button??

A great addition - will relieve the pressure/queues on the Plateu Poma, especially if it's a T-bar.

I think the glencoe news letter said that it was a button and the planning documents seem to confirm this (it's in the engineering details).

Excellent wee addition to the Glencoe setup. Should help with the queues getting people up the plateau.

here are a few pics from Glencoe yesterday Sunday Aug 16th - showing the location of the new button tow (not sure if I've seen pics from this angle before, you get an idea of how close the top of the new tow is to the plateau tow. And also a pic giving an idea of the amount of new fencing that is being installed. (Scottish skiing equivalent of train spotting :-) )
