awesome conditions Saturday what an end to a great week of boarding/birthday celebrations!!
Used the gorm season ticket to great effect, £21.50 for a day pass on a powder day was like the cherry on the proverbial birthday cake ! Absolutely no quesues whatsoever so six hours of continual lapping fresh pow lines means this old geezer is somewhat knackered today!!
Bring on this snow storm next week for everywhere tho
Super stoked ...........!!

Goose looks awesome today, only ones enjoying it were the SAIS though.

Few photos from a superb couple of days at Nevis Range. Super-lush Saturday in Coire Dubh & Summit Gully then a cold overnight in the car with a curtain of frost on the inside windows on waking. Took advantage of some much-needed (and free) winter climbing instruction on Sunday morning, then enjoyed even more laps of the back corries in the afternoon with the assistance of the mythical Braveheart chairlift, for the first time since 2009.

Summit Coire Saturday...

Coire an Lochan Saturday ...

Saturday dusk, the sun stripped southern faces of the mountains from Corpach station near Fort William ...

On the way up to Climbers Col for some training on Sunday morning ...

Riding the Braveheart on Sunday afternoon ...

More lushness in Summit on Sunday ...

When conditions are good in spring they tend to run it at weekends, Saturday currently looks to be the best day for it ? (sometimes runs Fri too)

Sun should soften the backs from mid morning on, the chair ran perfect last Sunday and hope it keeps doing so too !!

You could try phoning and ask if its going and put the answer up here I know more than a few would like to know in advance, Its a great pity NR do not come on here and respond to folks questions...... as per Glencoe.. For sure they look to see what folk say.

Getting out was a tad icy last Sunday, hard work keeping an edge, worse for boards with only one !

Fingers crossed !

Theres also the scottish freedom series at nevis this saturday around wingers and G&T i think. Does this mean the back coires will be closed?

The Backs should remain open as it did last year, the freeride event finishes above the traverse out if its the same as 2014 ?

Again would be nice if NR would respond , I do believe they would not take flak like Gorm does , when Coe responds its all taken in good humour with no bitching, do not see it being any different here ?

And its nice to get it from the horses mouth.......talking horses ?

Have a nice day !!

Cracking day on the hill, blazing sun all day and Braveheart from Lunch time.
Spent the entire day on the backs with a coupla runs in the summit coire and a couple of trips up the far side round by Tom na Sroine ? perhaps.

Finished off with a number of runs below the chair till the sun vanished off the snow and retired home completely cream crackered but happy.

coupla pics, more to follow in public reports (where they should really be ?)

Superb day at nevis Saturday. First time over the back, and nice friendly snow for that 1st ever drop-in! Easy once done, but does feel committing. Really quiet, can you spot yourselves on my pics:

Apart from run down the side of the summit button, the frontside was boilerplate all day. We got over the back before braveheart opened, and skied around the traverse (also pretty icy) takes a long time to get back to the top again! Second time in, braveheart was spinning, but not yet open. I had lunch while waiting for the green light.
