^Short day to the top of Allt an Dubh-choire... and back. One of the longer descent I've done this year.

Great day yesterday. If you avoided the predictable queues on Tom Dearg and Cairnwell T-bar (races being held on GS) then the queues weren't really that bad considering its a beautiful Sunday at the beginning of half term.

Snow was getting very soft in the sun but wasnt shifting too quickly. All the eastern aspects are still loaded and are about as good as they get especially Coire Fionn and Tom Dearg/Cluny. Sunnyside will start to look not so good soon as it really doesn't have allot of depth. But there is the chair to bypass it.

Everyone seemed to be in good spirits which made the day all the more enjoyable.

Another bluebird today (makes 3 in a row) great skiing, the snow was better than I thought it would be. it was quite warm and pistes stood up well, but it is getting thin. just hope they last though mid term.

9.72 miles, 1069 meter ascent, 1075 meters descent, rocks, wet grass, steep icy lines, saturated snowpack, blisters... all in the same day in the Allt Coolah, Creag a Choire Dhrich, and Carn Aosda. Definitely doing it right!

Great day up at Glenshee today snow holding up well considering the amount of wall to wall sunshine this week. The East facing slopes are pretty loaded with nice snow and although the West facing slopes are a bit thin it looks like some hard grooming work is paying off. Never went over to Coire Fionn today so can't really comment on conditions over there but I would doubt if we will see Glas Maol open this season unless it catches a serious dump of snow and extended low temps. All in all it's well worth a visit at the moment. However £30 midweek when the whole hill is not open is a bit steep.

When the replacement webcam starts playing nicely I suspect. Though it looks like the scaffold is throwing it's focus and exposure off kilter today.

It also seems that it's spun round anti-clockwise slightly as the Tiger is now visible but you can' tree further than the bottom of the Baddoch...

16 lifts for £30 is still the best deal in Scotland!

I was up today having been off the hill all week. Pleasantly surprised by the amount of snow still there. I was expecting Sunnyside & Claybokie to start showing holes but both are holding up.

Also just noticed Carn Aosda is down as 'opening' for tomorrow.

Expecting a very busy weekend with half term round 2.

Surely if Carn Aosda is open that will divide those huge queues on the Cairnwell side though! Would be ideal if the Tiger was open before lunchtime too...

Carn Aosda never span despite the lifties saying it would, however there were many skidoos coming up to the hut and work going on, so with a bit of luck it might do tomorrow.
Today was very quiet, long queues only developed a couple of times on the Cairnwell T-bar (which I was looping all day).
The Tiger never opened either, but the summit was in the grey, wet-looking cloud all day. It was pretty soggy today, not just the snow but the light drizzle all day too!!

Wind was predominant factor today...morning was a bit shit with very poor visibility, cloud lifted in afternoon which made the wind the only negative factor, stopped caenlochan as it blew returning poma into towers and snapped the poma...this resulted in corrie fionn being inaccessible although in great shape for those dozen or so who got there before caenlochan shut

Cairnwell was great in the afternoon with only a single lift line needed, off piste was smooth and soft a little sticky, pistes were soft

Glenshee needs a bit of weather luck, colder temps and snow esp needed for west facing slopes (forecast don't look too good until next week though) so a bit of wait and see but some runs may need closed awaiting new snow by wednesday, certainly some days are going to be storm bound this week, with next weekend looking rough this far out, so advise close daily watch of forecast and getting in some riding if you can when the wind and rain allows

Be Nice to Skiers, they have it hard enough already

I was pleasantly surprised by just how well the snow had held up yesterday. Had a great day, with not too much by way of queuing either. Visibility mixed, but manageable most of the time. Some fresh snow would be welcome though for coming days.
