Fine day today, great snow conditions on most of the runs. Coire Fionn was skiing well with enough fresh snow to make the off piste fun.
Sunshine all day but got cold if you were exposed to the NW wind too long.
Temps for the next few days will be a test for conditions but a lot more fresh snow than I was expecting so here's hoping

Closed today to preserve what snow there is left. Last nights thaw was worse than expected sadly but they hope to patch things up when temps drop away again this week. I'm cautiously optimistic that there will be a limited operation next weekend, there's certainly enough snow to push around where it's needed.

Still a gutting way to end the season. Though there is some snow forecast this week. [stay positive]

Ah bollocks! From arguably the best day of the season on Wed, to end of season on Sat! I hope it's not the end, but we need a good dump now.

if only there was a chair from bottom of clunie to to of caenlochan.... ;-)

we need a last hora for the tiger single chair before the triple chair goes in...please

temps fall back to normal-average in 7-10 days time with precipitation in the forecast....we have been good so we may get lucky (for once this season)

Be Nice to Skiers, they have it hard enough already

last week (despite marginal cover), removed pending replacement with a new chair (but has run within the last few years), pretty well every winter (not enough snow this year), has run this season (but also getting replaced)

It would be pretty daft to run surface lifts with no snow on them do you not think? Plus 2 new chairs in the pipeline to resolve some of these problems. Nice try but better luck next time.

had a wee hike over the back yesterday, most runs are pretty well complete beyond sunnyside, and basically mothballed waiting for more snow. another half decent dump and they could be back to the full area pretty quick. coire fionn bowl and runs are still 100% cover of good snow.

you could probably manage to ski-tour from the bottom of caenlochan to the top of glas maol uptrack on snow the whole way, GM summit is scoured though.

just serves to highlight how badly that MO chair is needed......

chairs have been taken off cairnwell chair today, so thats it for that.
snow on red race track was good today, although bit slow and heavy. maybe 2-5 cm of wet fresh.

Was up yesterday and it was surprisingly good. Snow was soft (especially in the afternoon) but fast. The remains of the boarder cross was still there which was great fun and the gully run back down to the Butcharts Access Poma was like an extension to this. Slalom was still loaded and was offering great sport too. Sun out all day with barely a breeze. Ended up skiing just in a T-shirt.

Sadly though I think this might be the last weekend. Unsurprisingly there was barely a row in the car park and the snow is melting. All but the the currently operating lifts have had the hangers removed and ski patrol were out taking in all their gubbins. Sad to see it end so soon but it was a great end to the season (for me).

Almost all of the chairs have been removed from the Cairnwell chairlift now and have been stacked in the car park... looks like thats the end of that era.

yes indeed, its a shame actually as butcharts and the red racetrack were still great fun yesterday, and i'd assume coire fionn is still in good shape too, but just no access. had it not been for the baddoch chair though they'd probably have had to close weeks ago.
