Here's hoping another thick layer of snow lands today.

Fit to burst for sliding!

Up the lecht today. Sun was shining most of the day. A bit thin and sketchy on the top of the runs (especially the grouse) but other than that not bad! Falcon was definitely the best with a mix of grippy machine groomed hard pack and some softer stuff near the fence line which had fallen on the top - very nice! Lapped away on that for a chunk of the afternoon with no queue. Beats skiing a green run at Cairngorm and standing in a massive queue for the privilege!

Planned to go up tomorrow but Grouse and Chair 'under repair'
according to the Lecht website! No indication of when those repairs
might be completed..anyone up there today have any idea what happened?
These 2 are core lifts even with total cover - as it is it will be a
headache if they're off all day.

Did go up today and was glad we made the effort. Best bits - great weather,
snow overall pretty good, getting a bit scraped on the steeper sections,
remains soft on the tops. Thank goodness (I could use a stronger word)
for the Falcon tow and runs. Worst bits - Eagle 1 going off early doors and remaining shut, Snowy Owl Chair started late then on and off all afternoon with
more technical problems, Grouse also off of 2 pylons on the steep section.
Hire queue was also very long. Problems with the chair and the absence of
the Grouse meant long waits for people trying to access the mid-mountain and
tended to funnel people down to the Falcon but queues ther only got bad now and again. We'll done to the lifie there who was on all day and kept things moving.

Not sure why they are having so many technical problems - maintenance, investment, staffing levels? It definitely is affecting the customer experience which is a shame.

See the Lecht are down to one run today (according to their Facebook) so aren't charging punters... A donation to charity instead gets you sliding with them today.

A refreshing attitude where they don't seem intent on ripping customers off. smiling smiley

Pity others don't seem to share this attitude.

Great weather, mix bag of underfoot conditions, some good some hard some stones, red blue and green on offer reduced prices, £32 for adult and 2 kids, no queues worth mentioning

Be Nice to Skiers, they have it hard enough already
