The new cam hasn't arrived yet, it should have - such fun are courier companies to this part of the world !! Will set up a temporary fixed camera tomorrow if the new Axis cam doesn't arrive on Monday.

The replacement Access Chair camera did arrive on Monday afternoon, but the weather prevented taking it up the Access Chair. It's fairly wild the next few days, but if necessary we'll walk it up if we get a bit of a break in the overhead - don't want to break the hardware before it even reaches the mountain proper though!

Mountain looking very bare again - but heavy snow forecast this week.

Haven't yet ruled out some 26th/27th Dec skinning and a few turns...

It's been like inside a carwash without a car at Glencoe last night and today, but finally colder air is digging in and the incessant rain is now falling as snow on the hill with sleet at times to carpark level at 1200ft.

This was the view from the SSC Hut at last light:

Any predictions for Glencoe opening? Got a hobbit hut booked for this weekend and I know there's meant to be a big dumping tomorrow but the webcams have been immersed in fog for the last 5 days so is hard to tell what the upper mountain is like.

Took my son up today for some sledging and a wander in the snow - some pics in the publics reports section [www.winterhighland.info]

for the snow geeks like me out there, I shot a quick video on the plateau area:

Here's an image from the main webcam at Glencoe, there's been several inches of new snow overnight with more expected later today. There is work being done on the oil network at present, but we hope to have the webcams back connected directly to the outside world late morning.

Hill looking much more promising in today's clear spells and snow is falling again at the moment.

Cracking day yesterday! Lots of pow and fresh lines to be had pretty much all day. Did manage to get to do the home run all the way to the carpark. Bit sketchy in places but good fun all the same. Few shark fins out there so if you are heading up this weekend I would take the old board/skis!

Didn't manage any proper photos as my iPhone was crapping itself due to the cold.

OUCH! I am sorry for your loss. Remember a very similar experience at GC. My board was completely destroyed with multiple full depth core shots after one day on the hill.
