And the master plan, as we all know by now, is to replace the MO Pima with a chair that terminated somewhere between the existing Pomas. I've not heard an update on this but originally it was to be installed this year if they found the right lift!

Regarding the lift report its a technicality on the respective websites. If you go onto the GS website it's fine. They basically changed the name of it to the rope tow.

I couldn't care less what the master plan is. They had three options of uplift a few years ago, today they have one. It's appalling. They should have replaced the t bar and planned to remove the poma after the Chair gets installed. The poma is very susceptible to wind and has already suffered a catastrophic failure.

They should install new stuff before removing lifts. As they proved with Cairnwell, installing a chair is a time consuming business. The MO chair may take even longer.

In any event, I believe the replacement of Carn Aosda should be the priority. Huge capacity serving numerous pistes.

Can someone please give an update on piste conditions. Planning on traveling up from Manchester early hours of Saturday morning and not sure where is best? Glenshee, glencoe, cairngorm or Nevis?

Glenshee should be good.

Continuing fresh snow on a frozen, bulletproof, base.

Going up tomorrow so will update.

I was up today, and the sun was out. The piste conditions were very good where the machines had been, though occasional hard snow patches started to appear later on. Snow cover across the area was good.

Off piste or on unpisted parts such as the Tiger and Glas Maol black the snow was basically frozen, with occasional patches of wind blown snow. Quite a bit off piste was smooth (looked to have been windblasted before being frozen) but would take an edge, especially if the sun had been on it. Some places which looked like fresh tracks turned out to be yesterdays tracks now frozen solid - don't hit at speed!

Soft soft soft all over with high traffic areas now with patches or water logged snow/ice...access blue, sunny side blue and cluny worst affected

Rode blacks all day today with the kids, tiger all morning and Glas Maol black and gully all afternoon....extra addition of sunshine tomorrow

Most of the good terrain should last in good condition until next weekend, up to Easter dependant on freeze thaw cycles preserving things longer

Have Glenshee given up on snow making this year? I haven't seen their cannons running. Surely now would be the time to do this and patch up some of the bare patches that are opening up. Nights are cold.

One of those days again...

Its still good!

Some runs are showing their lack of depth, most others are as good as ever on typical spring snow; harder in the morning and soft in the afternoon.

Could well be last weekend though so get up while you can!

This late in the season theres not really the demand to go all guns blazing. Plus I don't think its been cold enough at night to do anything worthwhile. Could be wrong though,

It's hard to say as although most higher up runs stil have great cover, some of the links and lift loading areas are starting to look thin and scrappy. All depends on the weather next week really and their willingness to move snow about.

Also endless touring options at the moment. Was out yesterday behind Glas Maol and had some really nice runs. Would highly recommend.

Spring snow today giving enjoyable skiing, though still pretty frozen at the top of Glas Maol. Mist came in during the day, though cleared later. Still loads of snow on Caenlochan, Corrie Fionn and Glas Maol, and the links to these areas are fine.

The runs coming down towards the Glas Maol poma have some heather patches at the bottom to navigate round - took some wrong turns in the mist and had to cross a couple.

Didn't ski the Cairnwell side.
