130miles round trip today via bannockburn as kincardine was rammed...crazy!. The times I travel the bridge your lucky to get over 30mph never mind 70.
At least the new one is well on the way .

Depends I guess on the time of day. Late at night say 10pm on a Sunday, no problems.

So the west coast could see a rise in queue jumping pretentious magisterial complaining numpties this season then?

I'll donate some welding hours tae fix the bridge or sort out a checkpoint out west...

If Glenshee won't be soaking up the Edinburgh snowboarders maybe we could install a Pret a Manger at Kildean Market and provide a catwalk in the carpark.

travel friday night stay in beautiful Blairgowrie and only have 45min drive left to get to hill

travel lodge in Perth another option I have heard some use with good discounts

Be Nice to Skiers, they have it hard enough already

That's Edinburgh covered between the 2 of us, though your target audience is around 6%

Tis an option, but sadly one which would more than double the cost of a day on the hill.

In thinking about it more - given that we're talking the weekends, and trips which normally involve leaving Edinburgh in the wee small hours - I daresay that taking the 'detour' keeps the trips feasible - probably busier coming back down the road at night.

FRB is to reopen for cars TOMORROW - ahead of schedule. However, closed to HGVs until February.

yep some snow would be good...think we've been spoiled the last few years!..at least im not going to the alps till april - should have improved by then i hope!
