Glimpse to the top between snow showers this afternoon:

Open to the top of the mountain on Friday for the first time this season, it's taken to the arrival of meteorological spring but finally the Main Basin T-bar is scheduled to make it's season debut.

That's great to see the main basin t-bar making its debut today.

Just out of curiosity, when was the last time that the main basin t-bar debuted as late as this (or later) in the season ?

As seen on the webcam captures above, it may have taken to Spring, but finally the Main Basin T-bar is up and running with Glencoe offering the full 1400ft of on mountain vertical.

^Rankins Return far East on the Plateau had beautiful groomed fresh, traverse out from the top leg of Mugs Alley to get out there.

^The Main Basin T-bar made a belated season debut on Friday.

Looking beautiful now. Great to see it all covered in snow.

Hope the rain doesnt arrive back end of next week as the charts suggest.

Almost looks like a bit loss of snow cover vs some fresh on Mugs Alley. Strange indeed.

Reports saying snowing at higher levels and wet snow on the lower slopes

carsey, likely to be the wind drifting it into Coire Pollach and scouring the raised parts of the plateau. Drifting and falling snow should have caused a good net gain across the whole mountain

The Plateau Poma is back in business - around 8 inches of snow last night with considerable drifting and snow showers continuing to come in.

The good news for now is that the freezing level is sitting just above the Plateau Cafe and snow is falling well down the Access Chair. Currently the freezing level at 10am is 1600ft lower than the GFS or NMM forecast models 6z run projected.

Now the NMM hourly steps doesn't take the warm air to the south of the frontal system further North today than it was at 10am, but it remains to be seen whether the timing was a bit out and milder air comes North or whether the trajectory was a bit off. Radar shows heaviest precipitation to the South around Loch Lomond - so things do look a bit further South than predicted. It is all rather on a knife-edge!

We've added a new webcam at the Plateau Cafe looking at the sledging area.
