Good, with skiing down to Sommerberg at 2000m. Sunday afternoon became sticky porridge all over, and raining lower down. There's still loads of snow above about 2200m. They are starting to put the snow preserving blankets on some of the higher slopes - they've been doing this for a few years now, so it must be beyond the experimental stage.

sticky porridge top to bottom? it appears (as you are testifying) that the alps are still getting a fair bit. i skied zermatt one july, was pretty bizarre skiing in the nice summer heat. would love to be able to do it every summer. it was treacle below 3500ish i would say under the midday sun.

1 Day on the rock hoppers at Glencoe in Feb, 2 half decent days at Nevis right after. Week in Les Deux Alpes, 1 day at Nevis late March.

Worst season in terms of days skied in Scotland, and snow conditions for a long while - I usually get 15+ days.

Hopefully next season will be better...

1 day at Glenshee (10th Feb) which was basically Sunnyside only.

A hideous season.

7 days in Val d'isere at the beginning of April. Sadly conditions never really justified the drive north, although I almost did a quick weekend in Glencoe. I'll have to aim for a double dose next year, the last time I missed a season in Scotland was 2012. Grrrrrrr.

1 day in Japan (Gala Yuzawa)
5 days in Spain (Sierra Nevada)

As others have said, conditions in Scotland weren't ideal for a late trip up from the South sad smiley
