No 2017 Midsummer Slide sad smiley

Just looking at the cams to see Glencoe is looking like it normally would in August...Incredible that we skied virtually the whole Main Basin late in June 2016.

When was the last year (if ever?) with insufficient snow for a midsummer slide at any of the ski areas?

There is still sufficient snow on CairnGorm, let's see what happens over the next couple of weeks.

"Not at Glencoe at least"

Strange that this season the cuckoo made a late appearance at Glencoe.
At least we could all get a good nights slumber after much riotous late night behaviour. ;-)

Anyone know how the Cairngorm snow patch is looking?

I hadn't (of course) realised it was there when I made the original early June post winking smiley

Les was out and about walking on Sunday and passed through Ciste Mheared. This is the first midsummer I have missed in a very long time sad smiley

If we could just turn it around 90 degrees! Mulling over whether it's worth a hoof at the weekend since it's past the solstice but it doesn't lend itself to more than a handful of turns despite its length.
