Another great day at the Lecht. A very quick 5 hours with my 3 year old daughter for 20 odd quid. She just wouldn't leave the place. The penguin park, magic carpets and friendly atmosphere up there is leading the way for young families. 10 out of 10!

so why was the road closed for so long...do Grampian not have a snow-blower????

Think they do have one, it is exposed so it does filled really easily- also it redrifted over a couple of times as well

Up at lecht today. Pretty much straight sunshine all day, lovely groomers. Off piste was mainly icy with some pockets of windblown powder.

My 3 year old daughters second day at the Lecht this season was another hit. To keep a 3 year old girl entertained from 11;30 till 4;30 takes some doing but the Lecht manages it!

Still good sliding on offer however except the Buzzard the snow was a little sticky in places.

Can I say a big thank you to Jock for helping my daughter lots with encouragement, tips and getting off the lift. She really enjoyed her first ski trip and will definitely be coming again. She wants to go again as soon as possible. Any one wanting lessons for kids I would recommend the lecht, the magic carpets really help for small children.

The beginners area at the Lecht is still in great nick. The Snow factory has been a big help here and it's amazing to have huge piles of snow ready to shove around. If I had time off then I'd be up there this week to take advantage of this with my daughter. We had another great day today with a massive meltdown from her at the end due to being knackered with the constant laps!

The continued mild temperatures mean the Lecht are now closed for the season as of this evening. At least they have had a great year
