I was told by Kate at Glenshee that the gearbox is unique to the Caenlochan poma, unfortunately.

Whe-hay!!!!

Glenshee report on Thursday night

20 lifts are scheduled to operate depending on demand and weather conditions. We hope to have Glas Maol running by lunchtime. Snow will be hard to start softening as the day goes on. All runs are full width

Caenlochan is on the scheduled list for Wednesday. Did they manage to get the parts sent by express courier or is that a mistake? I've got a few days booked in Braemar arriving on Thursday, so fingers crossed...

There was lots on the scheduled list that didn’t open. I think thy are being a bit misleading as it says subject to demand. Today the Sunnyside chair and Carn apsara didn’t operate. Aosada could have been scouted a bit at top but sunnyside was just shut. It would be nice to open it as it gives your legs a break from the drag lift and the piste to the side of the chair was better than the drag lift pistes

I agree as a snowboarder, I definitely prefer Chairlifts compared to draglifts, I am wondering if the winds were high or maybe lack of demand.

If you shut sunniside drag lifts there would be more demand for the chair. I don’t know many people who prefer a drag lift over a chair. My gues is it costs more to run but would be intrested to know.

When both are available I always choose the drag lifts because they're quicker than that chair, I think? And I'm mostly a boarder..

Looks like sunny side and meal odhar will be loaded, with east facing slopes wind affected....Glas maol will be such an avalanche hazard away from the bits the piste

New board ordered.....can’t wait

Be Nice to Skiers, they have it hard enough already
