Park Conditions
Date Posted: 14.12hrs on Sat 24 Feb 18
Probably not the most popular thread on this site but hard to find up to date info on any jump/rail setups.

Please post pictures or descriptions of any kickers/rails set up.

Lecht rail park has pretty good ramps onto each rail. seems to have large kickers built over by the falcon but was shut today so not sure what theyre like.

Glenshee have about 6 boxes set up but ramps onto them need work.

Cairngorm look to have started working on a pipe and kickers as well

Glenshee have a few boxes out on Butcharts. At first the wind was blowing right up your face so you couldn't get speed so avoided ithe for the rest of the day! For Lecht pictures view Sunday 18th February 2018 pix, there is a link to the public reports where there is lots of park features

There is a park in place at Glencoe beside the Coire Pollach tow. Check out Glencoe Facebook page [www.facebook.com] for video and pictures from today's Rail Jam.

Nevis seem to be persevering with the idea of putting their boxes immediately above the top gondola station, on a piste that doesn't have a lift. Asking people to pay for a lift pass, then hike the park all day doesn't work! One of the key elements of any park, is being able to get hot laps in.

I get that the summit isn't always open, but they just have to look at the number of people jibbing the stacked up fence posting below the quad chair this season. It would be the ideal place to set up all the boxes and rails, with the potential for a kicker line higher up if they farmed some snow.

Does seem very weird. Is it always in that location as I seem to remember a couple seasons ago it was lift served. Not sure exactly which one

I wont even pretend to know what to write here. I just took some pictures to show people that are interested what has sprung up in the last couple of days. I am told the jumps are not quite as high as other years but the take off ramps are a bit steeper giving more air. The half pipe in the marquis well area has not been built, the effort so far has been concentrated in the ptarmign area.

Glencoe has a box, two rails, a corri-p and one or two kickers. The rails and corri-p have jumps to the sides as alternatives
I have some photos - can't compress them just now - so I'll try to get them posted later this week

Cairngorms always win here!

I'm surprised at Nevis though for not putting as much effort in it and I'll be amazed if Glencoe remembers their park after whatever comp they must be building it for.....

I think the pistie beasty drivers took the hump when I mentioned the jumps were not quite as large as before. They were reshaping them today after the storms and boy are they big, really big! Later on this afternoon there were two machines in there working and making a lot of progress.

They'll be prepping the park for this next Saturday...
