Nope : Feels like groundhog day.
Cairngorm were in this exact position (bankrupt!) when HIE took over in 2008.
Root of the problem is clearly HIEs unhealthy and expensive funicular obsession.

Re-read longer post I wrote on page 2 : until HIE are removed permanently the rot lies deep.

Really is groundhog day. HIE are back in control.

Which is what I predicted when the issue with the funicular made it to the public domain. Certain people where noted for poo pooing the idea that NR would walk away...

At this moment though who else could realistically step in and save their winter, I applaud the community buy out idea but get the feeling its come a bit too sudden, no private company is going to be interested while the train situation is unknown I'd have thought

well well, at least the mountain is now safe from the clown-buyout threat.

I'd go elsewhere too, but i'm scared of falling gondolas and slippy chairlifts.

you stand right next to/under the bullwheel at the top of a lot of T bars to release the bar ya nugget. Including a fair few at CM.
