mutiny and ghost stories in aviemore
Date Posted: 18.56hrs on Fri 22 Mar 19
it seems there are sounds of mutiny and discord among members of the Aviemore business association this week after a board member portrayed Aviemore as a "ghost-town" in a local newspaper.

ABA members are reported to have been in despair that a board member of the body they pay to represent their interests is broadcasting such a negative image of the area.

one local business owner commented that the message went against everything they were working for, that the message of problems on the hill but businesses and the local area open for business as usual had been undermined by the article.

another local said it was just another example of ABA board members pursuing their own personal ends with no thought for the people and businesses they are meant to represent.

I wonder if the "association" can pull back from the brink in the face of such discord and ill-feeling.

Too much fighting on the dance floor!

Play the issues and not the man.

come now, we all know that often it's the people that are the issue.

tbh - i was hoping for a 'special' response

Do you remember the good old days before the ghost town?
We danced and sang, and the music played in de boomtown

That would be when the Sheiling was open and i could take the Tbar up the WL then.

The greeks used tae get smashed before they'd meet for debates and had tae think with a mind greater than they were originally given.. All meetings up the highlands should now have alcohol testing done tae the participants, drank toxic stupid drugs within the last month then yer oot till yer cleared of thick and regained the lost brain cells through natural remedies...
