Snow Farming

Would snow Farming (strategically place removable plastic fencing) have helped in the current wind affected resorts keep more of the snow in areas it is needed to maintain uplift?

Say on meal Odhar uptrack at Glenshee or ridge lines at the top of poma lines...etc

Catching the snow and pisting it in when the wind calms

or has it just been too windy even for these techniques?

p.s. no EU grants are available and not part of common fisheries policy either

(Goats Eye Mountain @ Sunshine Village in Alberta Canada uses these techniques)

Be Nice to Skiers, they have it hard enough already

Before snow farming I'd be looking at bulldozing and drainage in the summer to save costs in the long term.

If the centres properly invested years ago then it could be done, the places that do it round the world have a lotta staff who are out all night trapping and moving massive amounts of snow about tae where it'll be needed then and later in the season.. Anyone that says wind would stop it working here probably couldnae change a plug....

The price of fish is irrelevant if the twats cant get to the market smiling smiley

The Irish will still get to market, don't think there is a commercial sprat fishery here as the torys and Scottish trawlers (twats) fcked the coast right up sad smiley

Anyway, here's a vid for the relics in Scotland [www.youtube.com]

Cairngorms have the space to dig trenches up top and shift fresh wind blown down bottom and Glencoe have more than enough to build a consistent level across the mountain and build stores...
