Nevis closure - cancels season passes
Date Posted: 18.12hrs on Thu 12 Nov 20
Nevis Range has announced an immediate suspension of season pass sales and those already sold for 20/21 will be refunded. The business has now closed until further notice. In the event spring snowsports is possible, previous pass holders will be offered discounted day tickets or if a longer period of lift served snowsports looks possible then spring passes may be available.

Glencoe intends to open snow permitting on 19th December and all snow sports day tickets will be advance online purchase only to manage demand and meet social distancing requirements.

Glencoe and Glenshee season passes are available at early bird prices until 30th November this year. Glencoe pass holders will be exempt from numbers cap, which means they won’t sell an unlimited number of season passes, so act now.

Please note that CairnGorm Mountain Ltd has withdrawn from the reciprocal season pass agreement, that removes the insurance policy of getting a 30% discount elsewhere in the event lack of low level snow prevents lift served snowsports at CairnGorm given the funicular remains out of use. Pass holders at Glencoe, Glenshee and the Lecht will continue to get a 30% discount away from CairnGorm.

Do we think that it is the gondola that is causing concern for Nevis Range or do you think they feel that operating could result in more financial loss than just simply furloughing everybody apart from a few core staff?

Perhaps they should consider removing the windows from the cabins lol!

Lack of season ticket sales, restrictions and the covid bubbles ?

The media coverage the industry got last year when dummies were spat right oot probably had a bit tae do with it, shit sticks so it's best oot it's way when it's flying aboot..
