Pandemic Funding Increase for Scottish Ski Centres
Date Posted: 12.46hrs on Sat 30 Jan 21
I heard this morning on BBC Radio Scotland news (man I must be getting old listening to that) that the pandemic funding for Scottish Ski Centres during the pandemic has been increase from £2M to £3M. Given previous reports on restrictions for some of our ski centres, I wonder how this is being shared out.

Can't as yet see any online reports on this.

What is this being spent on?

Rent for landowners which would be loose change tae some of them shouldn't be coming out more public cash. They arsholes can afford to miss oot...

I imagine one almighty bun fight to work out who gets what. From what I understand it's spread across all ski centres including indoor and dryslopes (???????). I would like to think that the 4 principal centres (GC/GS/NR/TL) could show their accounts from the last great season (seeing as this would have been a great season considering snow conditions) and would be compensated to the tune of the results from that last great season.

It will probably be £2.95 million to HIE for Cairngorm and the remainder spread accross the rest.

As a public sector entity I believe none of this funding will go to CML.
