Sunnyside Chairlift (Glenshee)
Date Posted: 15.11hrs on Fri 28 Feb 03
Hi all,

I'm not sure that this really fits in with any other topic so I've decided to post a new one.

Anyway I just wondered if anyone know's why the Sunnyside Chair at Glenshee has failed to open at all this season. At the moment with Sunnyside broken it could be potentially useful for access to Corrie Fionn,

Cheers for any info,

Alan Mackay

Tom Dearg gone, Meall Odhar gone, so sunnyside lifts not much use. This brings up the old issue of access to Fionn Coire by direct NonSurface lifts either up Centre Gully from the A93 to the base of the Glas Maol Poma, or alternatively upto the top of Meall Odhar from the Devlis Elbow/Spittal direction. Coming up from the Spital side would allow lower base facilities in a less sensitve area, but the lift line would be very prominent and very exposed, where as a lift up Centre Gully would be much less prominent and a lot less exposed.
