Alan - I wasnt specifically having a go at Cairngorms ski reports - indeed I dont think they are any better (or worse) than the other 4 ski centres.

I just reckon that a single picture, or web cam, says so much more than a written ski report ever can.

It really surprises me that the ski centres dont put more up to date pictures on their home pages. All that is required is to give the ski patrol or lifties a digital camera - from which pictures can be uploaded daily. No need for a £1000 expensive set up, just a bit of common sense and effort.

Slightly cynical, and I'll get nailed since everyone seems to love the Lecht, but I think this pic could sum up why there isn't more web cams!



Eagle Poma - Lecht 2002 Season.

The report said "Most main runs complete, still with reasonable cover. Eagle still full-width between the fences, mostly good cover."

Lets hope the gorm change their cams back to last years positions see we can see up the cas and down towords the ciste.
