Sandboarding in Siwa in the Egyptian desert
Date Posted: 00.08hrs on Mon 9 Nov 09
I am just back from a fantastic two week holiday in Egypt and with my friends, I went sandboarding on some of the highest sand dunes of the Great Sea of Sand in the Eastern Desert of Egypt. It was very good fun but as I am not a snowboarder I didn't find it easy to sandboard those mountains. The scenery was really spectacular and it was great fun to board down those sand slopes though some falls were quite painful as sand is quite hard. I will post some pictures soon.

Looking for some pictures on the web, I realised that I went to Beer Wahed which is at the same place as Josh Tenge, world champion sand boarder but I didn't do as well as him when boarding down the dunes of course, LOL ! With my friends we had a bath in the hot spring of Beer Wahed (40°C) and also in the cold lake (see Josh Tenge's pictures).

I will post my pics here as soon as possible.
