Remember John, this is Scotland so it takes no special effort to get yourself immersed in beef dripping.
All you have to do is wrap yourself in batter and you're guaranteed to get fried.

Did they even visit Tyndrum or Ullapool chippies they should be near the top or is it that I am just starving when I usually go there? Why are all the Scottish ones at the end of the list or should we just be glad they're included ? On the plus side there's an Edinburgh chippy on that list I have never tried and I had given up hope there was a half decent chippy in town.

One of the best chippies I ever visited was in Aberlour. a hard day's mountain biking had given us a proper appetite smiling smiley

My favourite post-biking chipper has to be the Hungry Highlander in Braemar. They serve superb slabs of cod and excellent chips.. Just the thing after an epic in the hills.

Hungry Highlander seems to have the oddest opening times though.
