Re: Icicle Mountaineering

Hi
Just found this thread while looking for something else...
I have done a mountaineering course with them and know people who have done ski courses.
They offer a good mix of British style instruction and European style guiding. Not as inclusive or instruction based as Glenmore for example. This does mean you get to do some decent lines. French guides seem to be happy to guide hard stuff if the client is up for it - without a quiz on previous experience.
The icicle staff are great and the evening sessions are usefull and informal. The rest of the time you can just do your own thing. Accommmodation is self catering in Chamonix sud. its basic but warm and comfortable.
They are good value compared to some other operators too.
