A82 road closure 2012
Date Posted: 14.15hrs on Thu 10 Feb 11
Does anyone know if this is still happening, it would be good if they would do the work between September and December as it would have less impact on the ski-ing and climbing season.?

Doesn't answer the question, but this report has some other news on the project:

There's a pressure group for the A82 called the A82 Partnership, but its website seems to be down at the time of writing this:

www.a82.org

Don't know whether they are campaigning for a works schedule that supports skier interests. Maybe they should be!

I know that both Nevis and Glencoe have submitted responses to Transport Scotland, expressing concern if the road was closed for the majority of the season (i.e. Jan - Apr).

Word on the street is that closure is (currently) not happening.

Local hotels threatened to take them to court. And numerous people objected on the basis that other sections of the road were in greater need of upgrading / repair.
