Hi
The dualing of the A9 at Etteridge will essentially close Wade's Road at the point where it crosses the A9.
Currently the crossing runs over the single carrageway road, but no provision has been made for a safe crossing (over or under the road) once the dualing is complete. Obviously crossing a dual carrageway is more dangerous than crossing a single carrageway.
Someone has started a petition to get Transport Scotland to include an underpass (which they say will cost 700K extra) in the plans to ensure that the integrity of the 300 year old Wades Road is maintained. You can, if you wish sign this petition below.
Someone posted all this on Facebook, hopefully its accurate. I have forwarded to the MCofS, but I would imagine they already knew!
