A9 HOW MANY MORE TO DIE ?

Well the title speaks for itself. It is almost a year now that the Scottish Parliament announced with great fanfare plans for eventually sorting out the A9.

The P&J somewhat cynically announced that the proof would be "spades in the ground",meanwhile four innocent people lost their lives in the last few days.

I am sure there is no need to remind folk of the wider family impact..

Perhaps if some young member of the Royal Hangers -on Clique was involved
things would happen in amazingly fast fashion !!

Very Annoyed

As the full dualling to Inverness is now policy I'd like to see the proposed WS2+1 Alvie upgrade which is almost 4km IIRC made dual carriageway, that would be a decent length of DC on what is currently the longest single carriageway stretch between Inverness and Perth. Hopefully each new bit of DC will by increasing overtaking opportunities, reduce frustration and the risk of accidents that can bring.

Doesn't help the families who've lost loved ones in what's been a terrible week on the roads. sad smiley

Has to be turned dual carriageway all the way, somehow, and as soon as possible. Lets hope they get the cash together and start working on it as soon as possible.

Shocking this week. Dual carriageway would prevent the majority of the deaths. It's got to be done.
