Touring & Off Piste Training - Alps
Date Posted: 15.19hrs on Wed 10 Oct 12
Am hoping the collective wisdom of WH can help out!

I'm considering a week in the Alps with focus on getting tuition. Focus would be on touring but including good quality off piste downhill skiing coaching rather than just avi, glacier, uphill skills, etc.

Has anyone have any experience of similar courses? Ideally I'd like day trips, rather than a single tour, although an overnight would be good fun.

I've been skiing 10ish years, confident on vast majority of pistes, but struggle more in deep, cruddy or crusty conditions - I suspect I need more focus on skiing through the conditions, rather than fighting them. I've also got a couple of years touring experience in Scotland, plus plenty of Scottish mountain experience.

Many thanks
Calski
