Safari displaces IE as browser of choice of WH visitors!

Geek Mode on...

Safari is now the most popular browser for browsing Winterhighland, with 30.4% vs 30.2% for Internet Explorer. Google Chrome is closing the gap in third place with 17.1%, the Chrome rise possibly coming principally from Firefox, which has fallen to 4th place with 12.0% compared to 17% for the same period last year.

I am surprised almost everybody I know uses chrome as the browser of choice these days. The only time I use internet explorer is to download chrome onto a new PC. I have on occasion used safari as a second choice.

Not directly, but around 23% of total site traffic is now from iOS devices.

Once my contract is up for renewal I hope to be moving off iphone to Andriod - Much mcuh prefer my wifes Galaxy SII to my iphone4s or even the iphone5, so have very high expectations of Galaxy SIII.

The only good thing I can say about iphone is facetime

I fell out of love Dave with my 4 before christmas. It was out of warranty, just, and the home button was intermittant, IOS 6 had killed it and I had a go with a Nokia Windows Phone. I like it to be honest. I had a Android phone but that was too much, so until my contract is up for renewal, I have a Nokia Lumia 610. It reads texts out while driving and it can reply for you if you instruct it. Nokia maps are good and it makes calls too.

I am going to try and stay with the same phone as my wife, lot easier to explain to her how to do things. Having said that there is an Inovation Lab at work, so will drop by them to see what they think is the "best.

The Iphone/ipad is easy to use i know a 2.5 year old is quite capable of picking up a iphone or ipad and making facetime calls. To the person he wants to speak to, only has to see a passcode entered once to rember it.
