Lottery funding could be better spent, no?

Arts funding bodies get an allocation, an allocation that couldnt be used for sporting reasons I assume. However it does raise a question over lottery sports funding, a 1/4million quid for an outside arts program in Coire Cas. That could do a fair bit in tidying up the ski area or fixing up some lifts, the question thus is, is the problem the funding bodies or has no-one asked for sports funding?

Lottery funding goes to those who put together a bid and go for it I suppose. Good luck to them I say.

Also, not sure the infrastructure at Cairngorm, as a business venture, would be elliigible for lottery cash.

Taking kids from inner cities out for free lessons probably would but not fixing the lifts.

Reading the proposal they are going to re-do the all abilities trail as a Sunken Path, with drystone retaining walls. Sounds like CML are about to build the most expensive ditch in history! spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

If 'The Eden Project' can get substantial lottery funding then perhaps CML could too....but I suspect that a 'Cooperative' may have more success!
