We've given the Winterhighland forum's a fresh look for 2007, but don't fret if you'd like to keep the old style forum as there's now more than one way to enjoy our forums.

If you'd like to keep things the way they were login and click “my control centre” on the forum navigation bar to get to your account settings:

1.Click on Forum Settings under Options in the LHS Control Centre Menu.
2.Select “Old School Forum Template” from the Template pull down menu.
3.Click Submit and you'll always get the old style forum layout.

The new forum template allows you to upload your own avatar as well as displaying number of posts, date registered, last visit or on-line status. You can hide your on-line status if you wish by changing your privacy settings.

We've left the Snowsports Forum “old school” for now partly as it gives more space for showing cam images and weather charts, but if you want all forums to be in the New 2007 Style follow the steps above for changing template but select “Winterhighland 2007 Template”.

Adding Avatars

To add an avatar log in if you aren't already and click the “my control centre” link on the forum navigation bar. Once in the Control Centre you will see:

The “Edit My Avatar” option is highlighted and this is where you select your current Avatar. However if you have not yet uploaded any suitable image files to the “My Files” space you wont be able to select an Avatar.

Avatar files must be no more than 100px by 100px and may be gif, jpeg, png or swf (flash movie) – any absurdly large gif of flash animations will be removed, please bear in mind that not everyone has or can get broadband! Once you'd uploaded your avatar image file by clicking “Edit My Files” link your ready to go, click on “Edit My Avatar” and select one of the suitable files.

Images uploaded for avatars need to be no more than 102 pixels wide and 102 pixels high.

You should get a list of suitable image files that you have uploaded (if there are any in your file space) with a button to click next to them - are you seeing anything there?
