So who's all going then?

I'll be there from friday evening along with a large crowd from work.... crossing fingers for rain as I've decided not to do the bike race on saturday unless the weather's good!

Should be a great weekend no matter what.

Going to be there for the entire weekend. There are some reports that ticket sales have been poor but considering the original story was in The Sun I wouldn't take it as gospel.

Scared of being beaten by a fat old man like me?

There's a map and full program for the Outsider Festival available on their site now (http://www.outsiderfestival.co.uk/).

There's not that many bands playing (although I'm only really there to see Crowded House anyway) though the rest of the activities sound pretty good. In particular, I think a visit to the Malt Whisky Masterclass might be required!

Paul - my time for the run on sunday will depend entirely on how much booze I plough my way though on saturday evening (as well as how trashed i get doing the bike race). But bring it on anyway, I'm not scared!

See you there.

Maybe bump into a few of you chaps down there this weekend.

I'm going to head along for the Peat Bog's tomorrow night and then again on Sunday so hopefully there'll be a good bit of banter.

Enjoy and best of luck to those competing.

Well it rained a lot but I had a great time at The Outsider. Crowded House were by far the highlight but Blazin' Fiddles, Idlewild and Eddi Reader were also great.

If it happens again next year, I'll be back (and hopefully be fit enough to attempt either the run or the mountain bike race).

- For the record Mike beat this 47 year old 2 stone overweight specimen by around 3 1/2 mins.

Festival was great loved Peatbog Faeries, Blazing Fiddles, Idlewild, Eddie Reader, KT Tunstall and Crowded House. Pauline Sanderson's talk re EverestMax was entertaining. Whisky Masterclass caused a wonderful warming glow winking smiley
Disappointing was some of the so called 'comedy'

Bring it on for next year. Here's hoping they can do it without a loss next time.
