Thought I would share a few photos from recent week long cycle tour round the western isles of Scotland.
Actually the first time I had ever been to the outer isles - and have to confess that I am now wondering why I have never been before... The Hebrides rock !
And the £43 island hop scotch pass is a bargain if your cycling
Here is a map of the route we took. From Barra to Lewis, via Eriskay, South Uist, Benbecula, North Uist, Berneray and Harris....
Ferry from Oban to Castlebay takes 5 hours... Plenty time for a beer
Cycling on a hebridean beach is a nice way to get your chain rusty
