Lidl are currently selling a very functional Espresso machine for £35.
It's not fancy but it works just fine, makes a decent cup and has a steamer too.
Easy to clean. Recommended.
Their £1.29 tub of espresso ground is good value but a bit basic. You might want to try something a bit better.

Does anyone know how to make a Kiwi style 'flat white'? I picked up a taste for them when I lived over there, and now have a very expensive habit at the Mountain Cafe in Aviemore (which is the only place in the UK I've found that can make them....).
