How do folk dry them out after use Mine sort of sits around in the kitchen until the water has evaporated out of it. I am not sure this is the best way of doing things, Any top tips?

I used to use one but I was put off once I realised I wasn't cleaning it properly. Top tips I've heard is store it in the freezer when not in use and sterilise it with baby bottle cleaner, what ever that is.

get yourself a tube of sterident tablets. after use rinse out then fill with water, pop in a tab overnight. rinse out again a couple of times before use (you'll get a slight minty taste if you don't).

I wash mine in "baby bottle cleaner" now and again. A 1L bottle costs 99p and lasts over a year as you only need a capfull.
go slide....

Drying them with something to hold them open is a good idea.
Try spinning the hose to chase out any water, then hang with a folded shirt hanger/ cardboard tube/ or expensive camelbak plastic thing stuffed inside to keep the bladder open while it dries.
Milton fluid is an effective steriliser but won't take fungus out of the tube. It's unsightly but unlikely to be harmful! Again, at a price, Camelbak sell a brush set.
Cleaning is much more of an issue for MTBrs in hot summer conditions when using isotonic drink powders.

I only tend to use water in mine for drinking and then rinse it out but it takes a while to dry out and I am sure that there must be bugs growing in it, I think I will try some of the suggestions given, Cheers.

I always just stick mine straight in the freezer, and that works fine.
