Funicular Development - What should have been!

Stumbled across this artists impression of the Daylodge, Sheiling and Ptarmigan. This was the original plans before a subsquent new planning application was made in the late 90s for a scaled back development due to rising costs and reducing funding brought about by the length delays. The contrast between the planned catering capacity and the current with just the Ptarmigan and Daylodge Bar is drastic!

It's a real shame it never came off. Would have been a world class facility if it had.

Maybe one day after a few good winters they will at least complete the Daylodge and Sheiling

Looking at the plan, the funicular looks as though it follows the white lady tow track, this was never the plan was it?

The building drawings are the plans, the pic behind of the mountain was a newspaper graphic that appears to have mistaken the Pistebasher garage for the sheiling!
